Founder Aissatou Sene will be in town from Dakar, Senegal to host her NYC pop-up shop, in collaboration with Liz Grossman, Founding Manager of Baobab Consulting, and Community Lead at the Impact Hub in Tribeca. The Impact Hub will be open to the public from 10-9pm both Friday April 28 and Saturday April 29 to check out Belya’s new spring and summer line, including caps, wallets, shorts, skirts, shoes, dresses, scarves and other accessories, all handmade by artisans in Senegal and Morocco.
For those of you interested, you can participate in the 100 Days of Impact workshop “Empowering Women and Inspiring Social Change Through Entrepreneurship in Africa,” hosted by Aissatou on Friday at 12pm. Aissatou served a fellow for the White House’s Young African Leadership Initiative, and she will share her story about the creation of her social enterprise and her passion for promoting quality products made in Africa. Feel free to shop, then enjoy free coffee, wifi and an afternoon of coworking alongside the Impact Hub community of social entrepreneurs working on various types of initiatives making an impact in the world.
Saturday, come check out Belya’s summer line anytime between 10-9pm. In the evening come have a drink with us while we listen to some Afrobeats and celebrate Belya’s five year anniversary!
