Hosted by Aissatou Sene, Founder of Belya, Co-Founder of Let Camp

Aissatou, founder of renowned African sustainable fashion brand Belya and co-founder of Let Camp, a leadership and entrepreneurship program for young women in rural areas in West Africa,, served a fellow for the White House’s Young African Leadership Initiative, and she will share her story about the creation of Belya as a fashion line and social enterprise, and her passion for promoting women’s empowerment and creating quality products made in Africa.

Belya creates colorful, vibrant clothing and accessories that inspires people to value quality African craftsmanship and creativity and promote economic growth and women’s empowerment. This workshop is part of Belya’s Five Year Anniversary Pop-Up in New York, which takes place Friday April 28- Saturday April 29 from 10-9pm, also at the Impact Hub, so you can also shop the new summer line of made in Africa quality clothing and accessories.

Join Impact Hub NYC from noon-1pm every weekday between Jan 23rd and May 1st for free workshops in direct response to Trump’s first 100 days plan. “100 Days of Impact” is daily workshops run by the best organizations in NYC doing work on issues impacted by the policies of the new administration. The purpose is for attendees to learn about an issue that will be impacted, what is currently being done to fight back, and how individuals can take action and help make a difference.
